Alexander Barnes
Alexander is a city planner and community development professional who is passionate about tackling issues of equity and opportunity through data analysis and policy recommendations.
At SB Friedman, Alexander is currently contributing to a market analysis for a comprehensive plan in San Angelo, TX, and is supporting TIF and Special Service Area designations across the Greater Chicago area. Before joining the firm, he worked at Friends of the Rail Park, where he led community engagement efforts for The Community First Plan and built relationships with local nonprofits and community leaders in Philadelphia. Alexander has also worked for Brailsford & Dunlavey, applying an equity and data-driven lens to investments into schools and parks in the Washington, D.C., area, as well as for Amtrak, where he focused on real estate operations and coordination.
