Carlos structures and closes complex NMTC transactions, translating intricate capital stacks into long-lasting investments to address the needs of underserved communities across the country.

Carlos brings a background in financial planning and analysis, asset management, and economic development research to our New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) practice. Leading SB Friedman’s Transaction Closing and Asset Management (TCAM) team, his role includes transaction structuring, technical assistance to mission-driven clients, and managing our transaction portfolio. To date, Carlos has assisted in the deployment of over $450 million in NMTC allocation to Qualified Active Low Income Community Business clients across the country, and oversees a portfolio of over 50 active NMTC transactions.
