Elena Caminer

Elena is a trusted, energetic and compassionate advisor who thrives on helping clients make informed decisions and reach their economic and community development goals responsibly.

Elena specializes in economic and community development, real estate economics, market feasibility and affordable housing. Her work includes conducting financial feasibility analyses for pre-development planning efforts; supporting downtown plans; identifying housing needs and strategies to address supply and affordability challenges; and conducting financial due diligence and evaluating real estate readiness to determine the appropriate structure of public and philanthropic financial assistance. 

 

Elena was the project manager for Chicago’s Central Area Plan 2045 and a key analyst for a financial feasibility study and Transit TIF district designation for the Chicago Transit Authority’s Red Line Extension. Beyond the Chicago region, she has advised on projects in Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Nebraska, Oklahoma and South Carolina. She is currently involved in transit-oriented development planning for the Lowcountry Rapid Transit project in the Charleston, SC, region.
