Ellie Cassel

Ellie supports clients in leveraging complex financial capital stacks to further their mission and drive positive change in their communities.

With a background in community development research and economic analysis, Ellie is passionate about finding creative ways to utilize complex financing structures to drive capital investment in underserved communities. As a Project Manager on SB Friedman’s Transaction Closing and Asset Management team, she provides technical assistance to our New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) clients, guiding them through the financial closing process and post-closing compliance window. To date, she has helped facilitate the deployment of nearly $500 million in NMTC allocation for both CDEs and project sponsors across the country.
