Emma Fristoe

As a Research Associate, Emma assists with a wide range of projects through research, data collection, and financial and demographic analysis. She has analyzed the economic impact of a regional intermodal facility for Canadian National and supported a market study for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation related to a freeway removal in downtown Milwaukee. At the local level, she has completed financial feasibility analyses for various municipalities and commercial corridor studies for the City of Chicago, helping communities evaluate investment opportunities and inform decision-making. Emma also works with municipalities on long-range planning initiatives and the structuring of public-private partnerships to advance community development goals.

Prior to joining SB Friedman, Emma interned with the City of Champaign, IL, where she aided in hosting community engagement events, created resources to improve public transparency, and administered a zoning enforcement database.
