Joyce Ma
Joyce applies a public health lens to community development, advancing investments in the built environment that promote long-term well-being.
At SB Friedman, Joyce assesses community impacts for Community Development Entities (CDEs) and project sponsors, contributing analytic and narrative support for New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) applications and transactions. She is skilled at transforming quantitative and qualitative data into clear, meaningful insights and incorporating an equity-centered approach into her work. Before joining the firm, Joyce served as an external evaluator for federally funded initiatives. In this role, she led mixed-methods evaluations and strengthened her expertise in impact assessment and community engagement.
