Kathleen White

Kathleen synthesizes complex project, economic and community impact data into compelling narratives to help clients secure New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation.

Drawing on a background in economic analysis, qualitative research and journalism, Kathleen assesses community benefits and translates them into impact summaries for NMTC applications and transactions supporting transformative community development projects. Since joining SB Friedman, she has contributed to seven successful applications, helping secure more than $400 million in tax credits for Community Development Entities (CDEs). She has also supported more than 15 mission-driven project sponsors nationwide in obtaining over $300 million in NMTC financing for projects that expand access to employment, healthcare, education, workforce development and other vital community services. 

 

Prior to joining the firm, Kathleen served as an AmeriCorps member at College Bound, a nonprofit college access organization, where she provided program support and analyzed student outcomes.
