Fair Haven Community Health Center
Fair Haven Community Health Care has operated in New Haven for over half a century. We secured $38.2 million in NMTC financing to build a new, state-of-the art facility its patients deserve.
Fair Haven Community Health Center
New Haven, CT
Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) is a minority-controlled Federally Qualified Health Center providing high-quality primary and behavioral care to a predominantly Hispanic patient population experiencing acute health disparities. We worked closely with FHCHC as they navigated a complex capital stack of state and federal grants and rising construction costs due to the pandemic. We helped secure funding, including $26.1 million in bridge and term debt, for the construction of a 35,560-SF clinic featuring 26 exam rooms, behavioral health and medication-assisted treatment space, a community pharmacy, and a computer room supporting digital literacy programs developed in partnership with the University of New Haven. The new facility will also house a healthy food prescription program to serve food-insecure patients and enable FHCHC to deliver primary care, behavioral health, women's health, HIV treatment and substance abuse services to over 20,000 unique low-income patients annually.
