Ryan Hagerty

Ryan helps mission-driven organizations turn complicated financing into completed projects.

A specialist in tax credit finance, nonprofit real estate and community development, Ryan has advised clients at SB Friedman since 2012 on funding high-impact real estate projects and assembling complex capital stacks that blend tax credits, public funding, private debt and grants. Much of this work centers on New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) programs, where he represents project sponsors — nonprofits, mission-driven businesses, affordable housing developers — and Community Development Entities (CDEs).

To date, Ryan has closed over $1.6 billion in NMTC financing nationwide and successfully secured over $900 million of NMTC allocation on behalf of CDE clients.
